Kimberly A Lohr (fka Kimberly A Madison) came to nursing as a non-traditional student.   She earned her BA from Kalamazoo College and did a short stint with the Peace Corps after graduation. She earned an AD degree in nursing upon returning from Africa with hopes of returning to the developing world. Her first nursing job was in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo Michigan. During her time there she completed her MSN through Wayne State University’s Outreach program and continued to work in the NICU. She is certified as a neonatal and pediatric nurse practitioner and recently completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from Michigan State University.
