Welcome to my teaching portfolio

I am an Assistant Professor of Spanish at James Madison University, where I teach Medical Spanish and Grammar and Composition. I received my Ph.D. in Early Modern Spanish Literature from the University of Virginia. I was born in Peru, and moved to USA in 2009. I have been teaching Spanish Language and Culture classes for ten years, one of the most rewarding and challenging experiences of my life. Over these years, I have tried to accomplish a balance between my research interests, my passion for teaching, and my involvement with the community. In this web site, you will find my CV, teaching statement, recent publications, students' evaluations, and more. Thanks for visiting my teaching portfolio.
