Charles Sutton: Gifted Endorsed Art and English Teacher

Charles Sutton is a certified art and English teacher who is currently teaching art at the Galileo School for Gifted Learning in Sanford, FL.

This page was created to highlight some student artwork images along with many of the exemplars that Charles made to help them have a better understanding of the assignments. Charles emphasizes the concept of craftsmanship as the overriding factor for his standards-based art curriculum.

Charles has also taught English on the secondary level at the Drop Back In Academy Schools in Orange and Polk Counties, and at Lockhart Middle School in Orlando. As an English teacher, he focuses on making connections between the kinds of literacies that engage the students outside of school and those that are required for the grade-level standards. He uses Discourse Communities, multi-modal literacies, and learning scenarios to make the work more relevant and authentic.

Thank you for stopping by to look at his work samples and information.
