I moved to California from Puerto Rico when I was young and had a great deal of difficulty in school at first due to the language barrier I encountered. I remember being so upset in class not understanding what was being talked about. Then, a teacher who changed my life helped me and over time I began to perform better and better. Those experiences made me who I am today. I help children make the transition to our school systems here in the United States both academically and culturally. I love my job and am very proud to be in this position making a difference.
